Cute kids

This is a typical face Shalon pulls.

All smiles. :)

I decided to do something to Shalon's hair besides the typical one ponytail on top or pigtails. She did pretty well holding still and I think it turned out cute. Now we'll see if Wes notices when he gets home tonight from Casper.

Getting Big

Yesterday was Cutler's one month checkup. I can hardly believe it. He has grown 2 inches (is now 21 inches) and gained 3 lbs. (is now 9 lb 9 oz.) Time sure flies.

Happy Birthday

Today is Wes' 25th birthday. Yesterday he got to open presents and eat an ice cream cone. Today is he working in Casper for the rest of the week. I was going to go down with the kids tomorrow after Cutler's 1 month check up (I can't believe he's that old already) but will probably be staying home instead. It's been blizzarding across the state of Wyoming. We got 4-5 inches I'm guessing I don't really know. When I talked to Wes at lunch Casper had around 8. The interstate has been closed and they don't expect things to get better until tomorrow afternoon. So we will probably finish celebrating his birthday when he gets home.

Happy Birthday Wes. We love you!

Our Weekend

This weekend I kept Wes busy. Friday we finally raked up all the leaves in the back yard. They filled up the back of his truck. He took it all to the dump. He acquired some cabinets and countertops from work this week (they are remodeling a dorm at the girls school and are getting rid of everything inside). It was such a nice day we went for a walk to the park and Shalon played on the slides and swings.

Saturday Wes put up drywall in my laundry room and put up the cabinets and countertops he got for me. I am excited it's starting to come together. We are going to get another large metal shelving unit from Costco like the one already in the picture. It'll fit along the wall at the end of the cabinets.

Staying busy

Well I'm staying busy...

We met Wes' family in Billings at the Reef almost 2 weeks ago. It's an indoor water park. Shalon loved it. Aunt Caryl came and we met her at the mall. We had a nice weekend in Lovell. It was nice to get Shalon back.

I painted Shalon's nails one day after she came home. She loved it. She got her nails done a couple times at grandma's house.

I've just been playing catch up...

Sunday I was sustained as the secretary in the Relief Society.

This Past Week

Shalon has done quite well with Cutler. She received lots of attention from Grandma and Grandpa Durfee and is currently in Lovell with Wes' family. She loves to hold him and hug and kiss him. Cutler has been such a good baby. He never cries and is so sweet.

Saturday we blessed Cutler in our home. My parents were leaving to go home so we did it before they left so they didn't have to make the trip back to Wyoming. Wes' family came over and 2 of his mission companions and their wives came. It was very nice. I made his blessing outfit and my sister Jana made him baby booties.

Wes had to go back out of town to work again. It was really nice having him home last week. So I am home alone with Cutler. It is really quiet. Although I am enjoying the peace and quiet, I am really looking forward to having Shalon come home and would love to have Wes home too. I keep telling myself at least he has a job!

Cutler's first bath. Can you tell how much he enjoyed it? Soon after he peed all over everything.

He fits inside my doll cradle. My parents brought it out for Shalon.
