Rodeo Carnival

Last week was a big week for Sheridan Wyoming. It was the annual Sheridan Wyo rodeo. There was stuff going on all week. We skipped the rodeo parade but it was broadcast online so Shalon watched it there. Wes shaved his facial hair all funky to "fit in" with all the cowboys. More I'm sure just to annoy me. We did go to the carnival Saturday night with some friends and met up with Clinton. He spoils Shalon. He didn't want to ride the rides with her so Wes and I did. She went on the carousel (liked it better the 2nd time around) and then went on a whale car ride with me. Clinton took the kids for a little while so Wes and I rode the ferris wheel.

Albertson's- Store that I love

As I posted earlier about coupons this is what I was up to yesterday and today. The best deals were the ice cream and bbq sauce. Although I got a screaming good deal on the tp too.

I did this in 2 transactions because I knew there was a catalina that would print out after I bought 4 pints of ice cream.

BBQ sauce is part of a promo so if you buy 10 you instantly get $5 off. You also get $5 in catalina's to use on anything. I had another couple ice cream coupons plus a catalina that printed out from the ice cream yesterday. I bought this in 2 transactions.

Hooray for coupons and Albertson's!

Play date last week

Last Thursday we made it to play date. Shalon had fun in the spray park. We got there early enough we got to be in the shade. The trees aren't very big at the park and there is little shade. So everyone came and sat by us. It was nice to be popular. J/K. but we had fun.

July 9th

Newspaper

I did it. I gave in. I am trying what thousands of other people do.... I subscribed to the Sunday newspaper. I got my first paper last Sunday. Just one coupon made it worth buying the paper. We'll see if the trend continues (I bought a 6 month subscription) but if it does I will definately continue buying the newspaper and become a serious couponer. My very favorite site is a Thrifty Mom. There's a link at the bottom of my blog. I love getting deals. Wes laughs at my coupon addiction but doesn't really make fun of me for it because he likes the fact that I'm saving money.

Grandparents

Shalon has got to see my parents a couple times this year and will get to see them a couple more times. They went out of their way when they were coming back from Missouri to see us. They visited us all day Sunday. It was nice to see them. We might get to see them in August if we go to Utah and then they are coming out here again in September. It's 12 hours from Nyssa so I know their pain in coming here. :) It's nice that Wes' family is only 2 hours away and we can see them fairly often. Family is great!

Jumparoo

We bought this for Shalon. She never fully appreciated it. She didn't like to be in it for more than 5-10 min. at a time. Cutler however, is a different story. He loves it! This kid is so happy. How can he not make you smile?

Rub a Dub Dub

My kids are water babies. Shalon loves to "help" give Cutler a bath. She especially loves bubble baths. Cutler loves the water. I try to have it shallow enough he can just lay in the tub. He giggles and kicks his feet. So fun!

June 29th

Sprinkler Fun

Playing in the sprinkler that Grandma gave her. Fun, Fun, Fun. She was a little unsure at first but she runs through it and squeels. We had some friends over last week to play in it.

Wes was trying to work on making a flower bed next to the house. I'm happy to say it is done and has flowers in it. We have been working on home improvement projects. I need to take a bunch of picture to show our progress.

June 29th

Other Bday Presents

Shalon got her cute jammies from Uncle Cameron and Aunt Lesley. She loves getting new jammies. The John Deere toy is complements from Grandpa Durfee. She loves it. However it is VERY loud and no volume control. I told my Dad he had to equally torture Jana so Sydney got one for her birthday too. :) hahaha...

Lovell's Day Parade

We made a quick trip to Lovell because Aunt Caryl came to visit. However I don't have a single picture of Aunt Caryl... It happened to be Lovell Days. We went and watched the parade in front of Grandma and Grandpa Wilkerson's house. The kids made out like bandits. Shalon got a really nice stuffed moose from one of the floats, lots of candy. They even handed out ice cream bars to the crowd. Yum, Yum.

Wal-Mart Horse

For the longest time we have tried to get Shalon to like the horse at Wal-Mart. She will now go get on it herself and ride. The other day she ran to it, climbed up, grabbed the reins, leaned back as far as she could and said "Yee haw." It was seriously the cutest thing ever and I wish I had it on video.

Spray Park

Last Thursday I took Shalon to the spray park for play group but we were the only ones there from our ward. So we had fun by ourselves. It took Shalon a little while to get brave and she never ran directly into the water. I took these after the water shut off.
