June 22nd

This is Shalon's actual birthday. We didn't do too much because we had celebrated the day before. We had to take Cutler in for his 4 month appointment. He got 2 shots and an oral vaccine. He weighed 14 lbs. 13 oz and was 25 inches long. My baby is growing up!

Shalon's 2nd Birthday

Shalon turned 2 June 22nd. On Father's day we had a party for her. Grandma Susan, Clinton, Holly and Kurtis came. Wes smoked a pork loin and we had a baked potato bar. Shalon made out like a little bandit.

This card was from Gr. Grandma and Grandpa Walker. I'd been saving it for her party. However she found it about an hour or so before everyone got here. This is what I found.

Shalon's cake was a purse. I thought it turned out really cute. It was a party cake mix with chocolate cream cheese frosting. I decorated it with pull and peel twizzlers, a life saver for the clasp, cherry tic tacs, and skittles.

Camping

June 19th and 20th we went to a campout that was put on by the union Wes works for. It was at the 4-H campground on the Big Horns. It was really nice. There were 6 or 7 families there and then more people came up Saturday for the picnic. Shalon had a lot of fun and Cutler was really good too. He slept completely through the night. I was a little cold but overall it was fun except for Shalon getting us up at 5:30 am because the sun was up...

We decided to go off-roading on our way home. Somebody told us about Duncan Lake so we got our map out and went searching. Good thing we had 4-wheel drive because otherwise we'd never have made it. The passenger side of the jeep got scratched up from a tree (oops!). Maybe we'll go back someday but the road was really bad. We did find a place we might like to go camping at on the way though, that's not too hard to get to.

I laid Cutler on the floor and was out of the room for a few moments. I saw Shalon carrying Cutler's truck in the living room. Evidently she put it next to his head. When I came in the room he had rolled over and was reaching for his truck. What a boy!

Yard Work

We have been doing yard work. Wes made me a nice flower bed that has my lilacs in it. I planted some petunia's in it as well. Here's my family hard at work. June 12, 2009.

My friend Mandy gave us this chair for Cutler. He sits up fairly well. This was taken June 11, 2009.
