Hmm...

We'll see who actually reads what I have to say... I have to speak in Church this Sunday. I always have struggled with talks, I'd rather teach a RS lesson than speak. Wes can attest to that. I feel like I will have so much prepared, I will actually read my talk out loud before sacrament meeting so I have an idea how long it will be. When I actually get in front of the pulpit I start rushing through it, cut things out, and it ends up being extremely short. The first talk I gave when we lived in the college branch ended up being only about 5-7 min. so Wes had to lengthen his to about 30 min.

Anyway. I have to be the concluding speaker this Sunday. The pressure is on and I want some opinions. My topic is lesson #32 in the Joseph Smith manual "Responding to Persecution with Faith and Courage. It can be as broad or narrow as I want. What I am struggling with is how that relates to me here and now. I kind of want to spin off and more relate it to responding to trials with faith and courage. What do you think?

Lucky you! I hate giving talks. Is Wes speaking, too, or were they nice enough to let one of you watch the kids?

It's hard when they assign a topic like that, that is so broad. I don't know what to tell you, though. If I think of any great ideas I'll let you know.

I'm sure you'll do great. We're back so we should be there to listen. :-)

Nope it's just lucky me. Wes gets to watch the kids. I should be back early Thursday.
