Water pipe

Last summer in Lovell they were redoing water and sewer pipes. Dave and Susan's line to the house got bumped so it leaked. Kurtis was working on digging the line out last week so they could replace it and accidently hit it. So for 2 days after school and work that's all Kurtis, Wes, and Dave did. Good job guys.

Playgroup

Last week when we were in Lovell, we got invited to go to playgroup at the park. Shalon loved it and really started to go down slides without having to be convinced. I'm sure we'll go again this week.

Hmm...

We'll see who actually reads what I have to say... I have to speak in Church this Sunday. I always have struggled with talks, I'd rather teach a RS lesson than speak. Wes can attest to that. I feel like I will have so much prepared, I will actually read my talk out loud before sacrament meeting so I have an idea how long it will be. When I actually get in front of the pulpit I start rushing through it, cut things out, and it ends up being extremely short. The first talk I gave when we lived in the college branch ended up being only about 5-7 min. so Wes had to lengthen his to about 30 min.

Anyway. I have to be the concluding speaker this Sunday. The pressure is on and I want some opinions. My topic is lesson #32 in the Joseph Smith manual "Responding to Persecution with Faith and Courage. It can be as broad or narrow as I want. What I am struggling with is how that relates to me here and now. I kind of want to spin off and more relate it to responding to trials with faith and courage. What do you think?

Kids, that's what life's all about.

Shalon is so fun to have around. Lately we have been in Lovell staying with Wes' family while he's been working in Cowley. (Thank you!) That way we are able to see him at night and the kids get to have fun with relatives. :) However when we go home on the weekends all Shalon can talk about is Grandpa and Holly. She asks about them constantly. Occassionally she'll say Grammy and Kurtis too.

Susan did her hair this morning. I thought it turned out cute.

I don't usually just let my child cry, but I thought this was cute especially with what he was wearing so I couldn't help myself. It says room service please.

I weighed him this morning and he was 14lbs. I can't believe it. (well that was with diaper and clothes but still...) He'll catch Shalon before I know it. She's only about 23 lbs. He really is a good baby. He's started cooing and laughing. He kicks his legs when he's hungry like what Shalon did. If I put him to bed around 10 pm he'll sleep until about 5:30 am the majority of the time.

Out of the Loop

I like blogging. It makes me feel connected to people and that I can actually have interaction outside of my kids. I enjoy looking at other blogs and knowing what is going on in peoples lives.

I haven't been the best at updating my blog lately so here goes....

Easter we went to Lovell. The next weekend we went to Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Mike's for Stake Conference. The last 2 weeks Wes has been working in Lovell, so we have been staying with his family. When we came home this weekend Shalon has kept asking for Grandpa and Holly.

That is a short synopsis of what's been happening. Hopefully I'll get more in depth later.

Snow, Before and After the Storm

I don't know how much snow we actually got. However the roads were closed today.
